In several sessions, dental plaque is removed from the periodontal pockets using ultrasonic and manual tools, if necessary under local anaesthesia. This type of treatment is only carried out by dentists. After a sufficient amount of time for the tissues to heal, a further measurement of the pocket depth is carried out to compare the initial status with the situation after therapy. If there are no residual pockets, you are included in a supportive periodontal treatment (recall) program including regular check-ups and prophylaxis.
