Root tip surgery

Root tip surgery, also known as apicoectomy, is a minor surgical procedure through which a tooth’s inflamed root tip is removed. This may become necessary if it was not possible to resolve the root infection despite root canal retreatment or if anatomical conditions or an existing root canal post make it impossible to carry out a retreatment.
